A statement from Tom Nelson on the death of pastor Timothy Keller

What follows is a statement from Made to Flourish President Tom Nelson about the legacy of pastor Tim Keller, who died today:

“Tim Keller’s passing brings both deep sadness and hopeful joy to my heart. Over the years, I had the joy of knowing and serving with Tim in various settings and gospel-focused endeavors. As multi-gifted and highly visible as Tim was in the world, he was the same person wherever he was and whoever he was with. In the cultural landscape of our troubled, skeptical, mistrusting, and hypocritical times, Tim Keller was the real deal.

“His Christlike life, integral leadership, and compelling voice will be greatly missed. His lasting gospel influence is just beginning to blossom, and it will for generations to come and for God’s glory. My prayers go out to Kathy and his family.

“Tim, well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the unimaginable joy and the nail-scarred hands of Jesus, the greatest love of your heart, your master, savior and friend.”
